Education, Training, and Certifications

The APEX Training Center offers comprehensive training programs for ASSE 6040 Maintenance Personnel and ASSE 6010 Medical Gas Installers. 

Mr. Corky Bishop, P.E. CMGV ® has been conducting medical gas training programs for over 30 years. The real-world experience from our instructors invites a very interactive experience for the participants. 

Upcoming 2026 Classes:

ASSE 6010 Medical Gas Installer:

• June 2-5, 2026 
• October 20-23, 2026

The Medical Gas Installer course is a 32-hour class in accordance with requirements of ASSE Series 6010 and NFPA 99. The cost is $1250.00 per person. Class begins at 8:00 a.m. the first day and concludes at 2:00 p.m. on the last day. Please plan your travel accordingly.

ASSE 6010 Medical Gas Installer Update:

• March 3-4, 2026 
• September 8-9, 2026

This 2-day update class is to renew 2021 edition ASSE 6010 credentials obtained from Apex Medical Gas Systems to the NFPA 99, 2024 edition. The 6010 students in this class will take a re-qualification brazing workshop. The cost is $650.00 per person. Update Class begins at 8:00 a.m. the first day and concludes at 5:00 p.m. on the last day. Please plan your travel accordingly.

ASSE 6040 Medical Gas Systems Maintenance:

• August 18-20, 2026 
  

This is a 24-hour class in accordance with requirements of ASSE Series 6040.
The cost is $800.00 per person. Classes begin at 8:00 a.m. the first day and conclude at 4:00 p.m. on the last day. Please plan your travel accordingly.

ASSE 6040 Medical Gas Systems Maintenance Update:

This 2-day update class is to renew 2021 edition, ASSE 6040 credentials obtained from Apex Medical Gas Systems to the NFPA 99, 2024 edition. This class can also include installers and inspectors that are renewing their ASSE credentials from AMS. The cost is $550.00 per person for maintenance personnel. Update Class begins at 8:00 a.m. the first day and concludes at 5:00 p.m. on the last day. Please plan your travel accordingly.
